Target Audience and Goal Statement

This educational activity is intended for non-US primary care physicians, infectious disease specialists, and pediatricians.

The goal of this activity is to increase knowledge of the scientific basis for the messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccines, and the ongoing trials for mRNA vaccines beyond COVID-19.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • mRNA vaccine platform
    • Advantages and limitations of mRNA vaccines vs traditional vaccines
    • mRNA vaccines in different disease indications beyond COVID-19
