Target Audience and Goal Statement

This educational activity is intended for an international audience of non-US primary care physicians, diabetologists/endocrinologists, nephrologists, and cardiologists.

The goal of this activity is to improve physicians’ competence in managing patients with diabetes at risk of or with cardiorenal disease in clinical practice.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Need for comprehensive control of vascular risk control in patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D)
  • Have greater competence related to
    • The practical implementation of the latest diabetes guidelines for the individualized management of patients with T2D with chronic kidney disease
