Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for pulmonologists, rheumatologists, radiologists, primary care physicians, and physician assistants.

The goal of this activity is to provide clinicians who treat patients with lung disease with the latest scientific data and guideline-based clinical concepts surrounding patient care, including assessing disease severity and comorbidities, selecting appropriate therapy, and optimizing individualized patient care.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Demonstrate improved performance associated with
    • Ordering appropriate tests to evaluate patients with chronic lung disease and related complications
    • Differentially diagnosing the type of chronic lung disease based on symptoms and interpretation of diagnostic tests
    • Diagnosing chronic lung disease-related complications based on symptoms and interpretation of diagnostic tests
    • Selecting appropriate therapy and therapy combinations for patients with chronic lung disease, according to individual patient and disease characteristics
