Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for psychiatrists, primary care physicians (PCPs), neurologists, nurse practitioners (NPs), and physician assistants (PAs) involved in the care of patients with neuropsychiatric conditions.

The goal of this activity is to improve the pharmacologic management of psychosis, autism spectrum disorder, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) among community practitioners.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Symptoms of psychosis in patients with Parkinson disease (PD) and dementia
    • Current understanding of the pathophysiology of autism
    • Clinical data on approaches to the management of autism
    • Clinical data on approaches to the management of ADHD
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Selecting an appropriate therapy for the management of psychosis in patients with PD and dementia
    • Diagnosing patients with autism
