Target Audience and Goal Statement

This educational activity is intended for an international audience of non-US primary care physicians and infectious diseases/HIV specialists.

The goal of this activity is to increase clinicians’ knowledge of the progress and challenges in global COVID-19 vaccine uptake.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Global data on COVID-19 related findings
    • Strategies used to administer the COVID-19 vaccine to a large number of individuals, particularly in low- and middle-income countries
    • Real-world effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccines in preventing death and hospitalization globally
    • Latest global safety data for the COVID-19 vaccines
