Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for a global audience of dermatologists, allergists and clinical immunologists, physician assistants, and other healthcare providers who treat patients with atopic dermatitis (AD).

The goal of this curriculum is to improve the recognition of the burden of AD and the identification of patients who are candidates for treatment with targeted systemic agents. Additionally, the education aims to improve knowledge of new and emerging systemic therapies for AD, their role in treatment, and the mechanisms of these therapies in the context of AD pathology.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Demonstrate improved performance associated with
    • Assessing appropriateness of systemic AD therapy based on disease-related factors
    • Modifying AD treatment based on response to prior/current therapies
    • Selecting evidence-based treatments that consider AD symptoms
