Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for dermatologists, oncologists, nurses, and nurse practitioners.

The goal of this activity is to educate healthcare professionals on the use of over-the counter (OTC) skincare to minimize cutaneous adverse events associated with cancer treatments.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Types of cutaneous adverse events associated with different cancer treatments
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Developing a skincare strategy to ameliorate dermatologic adverse events associated with cancer treatments
  • Demonstrate greater confidence in their ability to
    • Identify team-based roles for managing dermatologic adverse events of cancer therapies
