Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for nurses and nurse practitioners.

The goal of this activity is to improve the knowledge and competence of nurses regarding pharmacologic features, adverse events (AEs), management strategies, and patient counseling tips regarding cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK) 4/6 and phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K) inhibitors in hormone receptor (HR)-positive breast cancer (BC).

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Key pharmacologic features of CDK 4/6 and PI3K inhibitors in HR-positive BC, including mechanism of action, dosing, administration, or potential AEs
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Managing AEs associated with CDK 4/6 inhibitors and PI3K inhibitors in HR-positive BC
