Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for dermatologists, pathologists, dermato-pathologists, dermato-oncologists, and hematologists/oncologists.

The goal of this activity is to improve physician knowledge of blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm (BPDCN) and to improve competence diagnosing this rare malignancy based on pathology and clinical presentation.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Typical clinical presentation of BPDCN 
    • Most common surface antigens expressed in BPDCN 
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Ordering appropriate tests to diagnose BPDCN 
    • Identifying common pathologic findings of BPDCN
