Target Audience and Goal Statement

This educational activity is intended for an international audience of non-US professionals, specifically hematologists, involved in the care of patients with myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS).

The goal of this activity is to Increase knowledge and competence in the application of best practice treatment for patients with lower-risk MDS with transfusion dependent anemia.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Clinical evidence on available treatment options for lower-risk MDS
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Tailoring treatment for patients with transfusion-dependent lower-risk MDS
