Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for neurologists, pediatricians, and primary care physicians involved in the management of patients with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD).

The goal of this activity is to inform clinicians regarding the genetics and timely diagnosis of DMD.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge
    • Symptoms suggestive of DMD
    • Screening methodologies for DMD
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Ability to utilize genetic testing to arrive at a diagnosis of DMD
