Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for hematology/oncology specialists and primary care physicians.

The goal of this virtual grand rounds meeting series is to improve the knowledge and skills of community-based hematologists and oncologists who diagnose and treat patients with myeloproliferative neoplasms so clinicians will be better equipped to tailor therapy for their patients and to manage possible adverse effects of treatment.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have greater competence related to
    • Selecting therapy for patients with polycythemia vera (PV) or essential thrombocythemia (ET)
    • Managing treatment-related adverse events in patients with PV or ET
  • Demonstrate greater confidence in their ability to
    • Personalize treatment for patients with PV or ET
