Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for primary care physicians, obstetricians, and gynecologists, nurses, pharmacists, and other clinicians who care for women experiencing dysmenorrhea.

The goal of this activity is to education physicians on the management of pain in patients with primary dysmenorrhea.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding
    • The latest data for different over-the-counter medications in the management of dysmenorrhea
    • Evidence-based recommendations for the management of dysmenorrhea
  • Demonstrate greater confidence in their ability to
    • Make recommendations for the management of dysmenorrhea among the interprofessional team
  • Have increased knowledge related to
    • Multidisciplinary care coordination for the management of dysmenorrhea
