Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for infectious disease specialists, primary care physicians, and pathologists.

The goal of this activity is to improve clinician knowledge on the role and practicalities of serological testing in patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Role of serology tests in identifying exposure to severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2)
    • Key attributes of serological test types and the information/data they provide
    • Characteristics/parameters of serological tests that impact their accuracy
