Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for neurologists, pediatricians, and primary care physicians.

The goal of this activity is to provide clinicians who treat pediatric patients with the latest scientific data and guideline-based clinical concepts surrounding pediatric-onset epilepsies, including diagnosis, selecting appropriate therapies, and optimizing individualized patient care.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Demonstrate improved performance associated with
    • Ordering appropriate tests for the assessment of patients with seizures
    • Correctly diagnosing a pediatric-onset seizure condition
    • Selecting an appropriate antiseizure therapy for the management of a pediatric-onset epilepsy condition
