Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for nurses and other practitioners who are part of the cancer care team.

The goal of this activity is to increase understanding of symptom detection and the management of immune-related adverse events (AEs) associated with the use of cancer immunotherapies.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Types, frequency, and potential severity of immune-related adverse event (irAEs) associated with immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI)-based regimens
  • Have greater competence related to
    • The timely and appropriate management of irAEs
  • Demonstrate greater confidence in their ability to
    • Manage irAEs for their patients who are receiving ICI-based therapy
