Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for primary care physicians, cardiologists, neurologists, nurses, and other clinicians involved in the management of older drivers with mild cognitive impairment.

The goal of this activity is to enhance clinicians' knowledge regarding effects of cognitive decline and tests to accurately assess the ability of older adults with cognitive decline to safely operate a motor vehicle.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Effects of cognitive decline on factors involved in the safe operation of a motor vehicle
    • Tests to accurately assess the ability of older adults with cognitive decline to safely operate a motor vehicle
