Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for psychiatrists, neurologists, primary care physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.

The goal of this activity is to provide clinicians with greater knowledge and confidence in accurately and promptly diagnosing tardive dyskinesia (TD), making appropriate treatment selections, and incorporating team-based management of the patient.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Nuances associated with making a differential diagnosis of TD
    • Prevalence, incidence, and impact of TD on patients
    • Accurate diagnosis of patients with TD
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Designing a management strategy for patients with TD
  • Demonstrate greater confidence in their ability to
    • Understand the role of the team in recognizing and diagnosing TD
