Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for neurologists, primary care physicians, and obstetricians and gynecologists.

The goal of this activity is to assist healthcare professionals in assessing infection risk associated with the use of established and investigational disease modifying therapies (DMTs) in patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) and outlining strategies for infection risk reduction.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the
    • Common infections associated with different classes of DMTs used for the treatment of MS
    • Approaches for reducing infection risk in patients receiving a DMT for the treatment of MS
