Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for oncology nurses.

The goal of this activity is to educate oncology nurses on updates to the first-line treatment paradigm for EGFR-mutated non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), on best practices for communicating with their patients about treatment expectations, and on managing treatment-related side effects.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding
    • Relevant updates in the treatment paradigm of EGFR-mutated NSCLC
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Communicating treatment expectations to patients with EGFR-mutated NSCLC
    • Managing treatment-related adverse events in patients with EGFR-mutated NSCLC
