Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for oncology nurses, nurse practitioners, and advanced practice nurses.

The goal of this activity is to improve knowledge on pancreatic adenocarcinoma treatments, strategies for addressing treatment-related adverse events, and interventions to improve overall quality of life.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will have increased knowledge regarding the:

  • Recognition of treatment strategies across the spectrum of disease for patients with advanced pancreatic adenocarcinoma
  • Recognition of treatment-related adverse events in patients with advanced pancreatic cancer
  • Identification of nursing interventions that can address treatment-related symptoms and patient concerns and improve quality of life
