Target Audience and Goal Statement
This activity is intended for cardiologists, emergency medicine physicians, primary care physicians, nurses, and other healthcare
providers involved in the management of patients with heart failure (HF).
The goal of this activity is to enhance the adoption of natriuretic peptide measurements into HF management.
Upon completion of this activity, participants will:
- Have increased knowledge regarding the
- Latest clinical guideline recommendations on the use of biomarkers in patients with heart failure (HF)
- Have greater competence related to
- Clinical interpretation of biomarker results in HF
- Practical strategies to use N-terminal pro B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) to guide therapy for patients with HF, both
during and outside of hospitalization
