Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for cardiologists, emergency medicine physicians, primary care physicians, and nurses.

The goal of this activity is to provide clinicians with foundational knowledge regarding high-sensitivity cardiac troponin and its utilization for the diagnosis of myocardial infarction.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge regarding the latest data on high sensitivity troponin as a biomarker in the setting of MI
  • Have increased knowledge regarding the approved applications of high-sensitivity troponin
  • Have greater competence related to their ability to incorporate high-sensitivity troponin into clinical practice to improve diagnosis of MI
