Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for healthcare professionals in the United States, particularly those who work in outpatient practices.

The goal of this activity is to describe the major provisions of health coverage marketplaces that will take effect in 2014.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe the requirements for purchasing healthcare coverage in a healthcare marketplace as of October 2013
  2. Summarize steps undertaken by CMS to support providers as the marketplaces take effect
