Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for primary care physicians, urologists, diabetologists, endocrinologists, nurses, and nurse practitioners.

The goal of this activity is to facilitate effective dialogue between clinicians and patients, leading to more effective clinician-patient interactions and aiding in the identification and diagnosis of genitourinary (GU) and sexual health concerns during routine office visits with male patients.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Integrate effective GU and sexual function screening techniques into clinical practice
  2. Demonstrate appropriate communication techniques to elicit information from male patients about urinary and sexual function issues
  3. Apply communication strategies that increase patient comfort in discussing GU and sexual function
