Signs and Symptoms of Dyslipidemia

Introduction

Patients with dyslipidemia may present with physical clues and tell-tale signs that can assist in the diagnosis and management of the associated lipid disorder. In some cases, most notably with severe hypertriglyceridemia, life-threatening symptoms may ensue and therefore it is imperative to correctly diagnose the disorder. This review will describe the most common signs and symptoms that clinicians may encounter with respect to dyslipidemia.
