Target Audience and Goal Statement

This educational activity is intended for cardiologists, internists, primary care physicians, endocrinologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals involved in managing the patient with mixed dyslipidemia.

The goal of this activity is to meet the educational needs of healthcare providers involved in management of dyslipidemia.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate how to calculate residual risk in patients at LDL goal
  2. Apply NCEP ATP III guidelines to practice
  3. Review and discuss data supporting better clinical outcomes with combination therapy
  4. Describe strategies and tools to improve patient adherence to treatment recommendations
