About This Series
More than 7 million Americans are hospitalized each year with an acute medical illness. These patients are at increased risk of venous thromboembolism (VTE) not only during their hospitalization, but for several months after discharge, with 80% of events occurring within the first 6 weeks. This series of 6 interviews will explore effective strategies related to preventing VTE in vulnerable hospitalized patients.
