About This Series
More than 7 million Americans are hospitalized each year with an acute medical illness. These patients are at increased risk of venous thromboembolism (VTE) not only during their hospitalization -- but for several months after discharge, with 80% of events occurring within the first 6 weeks. This series of 6 interviews will explore effective strategies related to preventing VTE in vulnerable hospitalized patients.
