Benign But Bothersome:
Seborrheic keratosis is a common noncancerous skin growth affecting over 80 million Americans. Although benign, it can significantly impact the physical and emotional well-being of patients due to its appearance and can itch, bleed, or become inflamed. In addition, clinicians must carefully assess and diagnose seborrheic keratoses as they can mimic malignant tumors. This curriculum aims to increase clinicians' awareness of seborrheic keratosis and provides best practices for diagnosis and management, with a focus on alleviating patients' functional and aesthetic burdens.
