Clinical Advances in
Chronic respiratory diseases, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma, remain poorly controlled in many patients, resulting in persistent symptoms and frequent complications. Despite available guidelines for both COPD and asthma, diagnostic confusion between the 2 diseases can often appear and it may be difficult to determine the underlying disease state in an adult patient with airway obstruction. This page is designed to provide healthcare providers with the most recent data and best practices on recognizing, diagnosing, and appropriately managing COPD and asthma.
