Psoriatic Arthritis Learning Center:
Psoriatic arthritis (PsA) is a chronic, progressive systemic inflammatory disorder that may result in permanent joint damage and disability. Patients with PsA have highly heterogeneous disease courses and health consequences beyond joint function, such as cardiovascular disease. Of the 125 million people worldwide with psoriasis, between 10% and 30% will also develop PsA. In addition to physical health effects, PsA greatly impacts quality of life, with approximately 40% of people reporting their disease to be a large problem in everyday life. This page provides education on the latest therapeutic strategies for appropriate PsA management.
