Clinical Advances in

Personalized Healthcare

Personalized medicine is the tailoring of medical treatment to specific patient characteristics, using genetic profile or disease markers to make treatment decisions. Personalized healthcare extends this further, incorporating factors that stress long range planning in healthcare rather than focusing only on reactionary patient care. This is an educational curriculum to extend understanding of oncologists, ophthalmologists and neurologists on what personalized healthcare means to them, what the benefits and opportunities are to improve patient outcomes, raise awareness of the latest advances and evidence, and provide practical insights and guidance to support optimal practical application in current and emerging practice. The content is guided by an eminent faculty of experts in the field who are committed to providing a broad range of useful resources and educational activities.
