Clinical Advances in HIV
Advances in antiretroviral therapy and HIV care have more than doubled the life expectancy of the more than 1.5 million people in the United States living with HIV. Healthcare providers are now managing HIV as a chronic disease in an aging population with common chronic health conditions. Better treatments as well as advances in HIV prevention are helping to stem the epidemic.
