About Gynecologic Cancer

Gynecologic cancers are malignancies that affect the reproductive organs and tissues; they include ovarian cancer, endometrial cancer, uterine cancer, cervical cancer, vaginal cancer, and vulvar cancer. Ovarian cancer is the most common cause of death from gynecologic cancer, primarily because early ovarian cancer symptoms are difficult to detect. Other gynecologic cancers are more curable because early symptoms are often present. Different preventive and treatment strategies are recommended for each of the gynecologic cancers.
