Medscape Education Diabetes & Endocrinology, October 2022
Chronic kidney disease (CKD), which affects people of all ages, can result in chronic renal failure, its most significant outcome. Prevention or early identification of kidney disease increases the chance of slowing or stopping its progression, with glomerular filtration rate being the best test to measure kidney function and determine stage of kidney disease.
