About Prostate Cancer

  • Prostate cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in men. Prostate cancer symptoms are not evident in early stages of the disease, making regular screening vital for favorable prostate cancer prognosis. Once signs of prostate cancer appear, the cancer has likely spread beyond the prostate. Radiation and prostate cancer surgery, or prostatectomy, are the 2 most common treatments for localized disease. Treatment for advanced prostate cancer includes hormonal therapy and chemotherapy.
